Conferencia de John Carroll,"Supporting activity awareness in computer-mediated collaboration."

Conferencia de John Carroll (Universidad de Pensilvania)

Martes, 29 de Junio de 17:00 a 18:00 horas en el Salón de Actos de la ESII.

Title:  Supporting activity awareness in computer-mediated collaboration.

Abstract: Effective regulation of joint activity requires awareness of and coordination with partners at many levels. Our research focuses on understanding and supporting awareness in relatively large and complex activities such as emergency management, software development, or education. We describe a field study and two laboratory studies that examined patterns and issues in the development of activity awareness, and approaches to supporting awareness with information technology tools in the domain of emergency management planning.
